Brockwell Park and Mansion has undergone a major restoration of its Georgian Grade II* listed mansion. Despite 125 years of public access to the park, the building had long been underused, overlooked and underappreciated. The restoration project, led by PRS Architects, has revitalised Brockwell Hall, delivering numerous community benefits and activities, while offering a fresh perspective on the landscape and its significance within London.

GuM developed the interpretation and exhibition design throughout this historic building, highlighting its history, local stories and traditions. All content was crafted in close partnership with the local community to connect the stories of present-day park users with the history of the site. A ‘Brockwell Park Trail’ has also been introduced to encourage further exploration of the surrounding landscape.

Brockwell Hall officially reopened to the public in May 2025.
